About the Writers

Bill Humphreys and Craig Casey have been saltwater fishing in Southern California for a combined total of over 100 years (since they were kids!).

Bill has been an avid fisherman all his life - fishing from his own boats, kayaks, surfboards, jetties, charter boats or any other way he can get out on the water. As a professional ocean lifeguard for over 30 years, the ocean has been his life. Whether it's building his own custom fishing rods, making artificial lures (plastics), reading the latest fishing tips and techniques, or putting it all into practice - he truly has been a student of fishing for many years.

Craig has had a similar lifestyle, fishing since his early days and eventually working as a professional fishing guide. Now retired after a successful career as a firefighter (a job chosen specifically to allow more fishing time), Craig has been doing his own research on fishing techniques for over 50 years. Combined with a a passion for any style of fishing, on any body of water - Craig has become an expert in a variety of ocean and freshwater fishing techniques.

Together, Bill and Craig have combined their knowledge and experience, along with extensive research (including receiving additional input and tips from some notable experts in the field), to create what is perhaps one of the most practical summaries of serious fishing tips you will find anywhere!
